Mizoram is a state in India that lies towards the Northeastern part of the country; Aizawl is the state’s capital city. As part of the state’s efforts to promote technical knowledge for increasing the availability of skilled manpower, the state constituted several Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) that are managed by the government and Industrial Training Centers (ITCs) that are owned by private agencies. The state imparts vocational training as per the guidelines of the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT).
The skill training centers offer quality technical education in engineering and non-engineering trades in short-term and long-term training programs. The Craftsmen Scheme that was introduced by the Union Government of India in the year 1950 makes provisions for launching the skill training courses for the welfare of the country’s youth population and meeting the growing skilled labor needs of industries.
In Mizoram, like the rest of the other Indian states, a large percentage of youngsters enroll in technical programs to develop their skills in the chosen trades. However, they have to clear the examinations to become eligible for admission in the vocational training institutes.
Mizoram NCVT ITI
The vocational trade courses are conducted in 4 semesters. To view the exam results of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters, pertaining to the Mizoram centers, the students have to browse through the official website of NCVT, https://ncvtmis.gov.in/Pages/Home.aspx.
