The National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) is the body that manages the vocational courses in India. The trade courses can be enrolled in at the government-managed Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and privately-owned Industrial Training Centers (ITCs), by the aspirants. In India, the NCVT conducts the respective semester exams (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ones) of the various courses across different locations in the Indian states during February and July / August 2024.

A considerable percentage of aspirants show interest in gaining technical-know rather than conventional school studies. They have the option of enrolling in vocational trade programs (both engineering and non-engineering ones) to fulfil their aspirations. Nonetheless, they must be eligible for the respective courses to get admission. Only if they are eligible, they are advised to apply for the courses. Some states hold entrance exams and only the successful candidates are given admission.
During the 1950s, in accordance with the Craftsmen Scheme, while keeping in mind the skilled manpower needs of industries, the vocational centers were set up by the Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the Union Government of India.
As part of the courses, practical experience is, also, given through the 1-year Apprenticeship programs. Thereafter, the students have to pass the All India Trade Test (AITT) after which they are conferred with the National Trade Certificate (NTC) and considered skilled to work in the chosen trades.

The students who have appeared for the 1st-semester exams have to browse NCVT’s official website, www.ncvtmis.gov.in, to download their results. Upon entering the required details such as roll number and semester name (via the drop-down menu), the exam results can be viewed.
Another option is to visit the site, https://www.ncvtiti.in for viewing the NCVT 1st semester exam results. On the website, in addition to the results, the interested persons can obtain the required information about the trade courses that are conducted in the different Indian states too.
